Subscribe & Save

Subscriptions your customers actually control

Steady orders every week, and not one of them lands on your to-do list.

How do subscriptions work?

Any item on your store can repeat on its own rhythm - weekly milk, every-other-week eggs, monthly beef. Members get a My Subscriptions page showing what is coming and when, and they can skip or change any single date themselves, right up to that week deadline.

How it works

What actually happens

  • A rhythm per item — Weekly milk and monthly beef, side by side.
  • One-time or subscribe, on every item — Nobody gets signed up by accident.
  • Members manage it themselves — They skip a week; you never hear about it.
  • A discount, if you want one — Set a number, or set none at all.
  • Out of stock is flagged — Off the order, on the email, no surprises at pickup.

Why it matters on a real farm

The part this takes off you

Subscriptions are the closest thing a direct-market farm has to a paycheck - you know what is going out the door before the week starts. The catch has always been the managing, and that part is gone.

Steady orders, without you managing anything.Gideon Lapp, farmer & founder

Questions about subscribe & Save

Can customers skip a week?

Yes, themselves, right up to that week ordering deadline. They can also change the quantity for one date without touching the rest of the subscription.

Do I have to offer a discount?

No. The discount is optional and you set the number. Plenty of farms run subscriptions at the regular price and nobody minds, because the convenience is the point.

What if a subscription item is out of stock?

It comes off that order and is flagged on the order email, so the member knows before pickup. Their subscription is not cancelled - it just picks up again next time.

Can a customer cancel any time?

Yes, from their own page, with no phone call and no awkwardness. Farms that make leaving easy tend to have fewer people leave.
